The shutter release and lock came off from the top plate of my Yashica Electro 35 GX.
I did however managed to put it back in place and the exposure system was not affected, however, I would like to ascertain a proper procedure to put it back in place and have the locking mechanism work.
Can some one suggest a workshop manual source for this camera, as the one found on Amazon for $1 doesn't show all the stages needed to overhaul the camera?

Sangetsu and others recommended replacing the top plate altogether and solder hot shoe cable again.
I haven't tested yet but everything seems to be in place and working. I have now an original top plate to tinker with the shutter release!!

Hello- i was wondering, did you ever find any kind of service manual for this? a friend of mine is having trouble putting his lens and shutter back together. any info would be awesome. thank you sir!
